IIM INDORE VS IIM KOZHIKODE

IIM, Indore V/s IIM, Kozhikode

Many times, students enquire about their choice for any particular IIM and which one to choose?  Their question is pertinent because now there are thirteen IIMs.  But I give a suggestion why to bother for which IIM?  The main focus should be to score high percentage for all the exams including CAT.  If any student is continuously getting 95 percentages and equally has 99 percentile in CAT, for him to acquire a diploma in management from any IIM, is not a tough job.  Many students feel that to get admission in IIM, Kolkata, Ahmadabad or Bangalore is not the same as against their admission to Indore or Kozhikode.  Believe me, this is not that correct.  It is more of a mind set.  For example, if you become a gold medalist in your management diploma from IIM, Kozhikode as against you acquire the same diploma without any rank from IIM, Kolkata or Ahmadabad, the recruiters won’t be in a position to ignore you for any coveted position in their companies.

Let us now compare two management institutes like IIM, Indore and IIM, Kozhikode.

OVERVIEW

IIM INDORE
This institution came into existence in the year 1996.  It is the sixth IIM Situated atop a scenic hillock the 193 acre campus provides an ideal backdrop for contemplative learning. CROWD & CAMPUS  LIFE
FMS
The one thing that stands out about the students at FMS is their outstanding academic track records. Most students are sincere and dedicated, and have always been so. There is not much activity within the institute, so to speak, but there are a host of other colleges in the campus, so there is always something or another going on within the University compounds. And even if there isn’t, New Delhi is full of places that students can (and do) hang out at.

JBIMS
The cutoffs being so high for JBIMS, you would find the cream of the CET AND CMAT crowd here. There is a majority of engineers but the batch generally has a lot of other diverse backgrounds,Mumbai is full of places that students can go and hang out. The one disadvantage is that JBIMS doesn’t have a residential program like IIMs.so students lose out on some parts of campus life
